Looking forward to a response from lenovo, and hope it helps some other victims customers. I note many of the other P50 Win 7 drivers are woefully behind, so get to it. Customers should not need to be trawling the net for drivers from other manufacturers to make your product work.

You need to update all the Win 7 drivers as they become available. You have claimed to support Win 7 on the P50, so actually do it, don't just let your marketing saps spruke about it, put some engineering behind it.

Bingo, my user admin account name has a space! It installed first go, no install complaints and my USB C external HDD dock sprung to life immediately. The extracted release notes mention it fixes a bug, among others, where previous versions would not install if the user name has a space character. What's to loose, so I downloaded it and extracted it to find it is Intel drivers in a DELL wrapper much like Intel drivers in a lenovo Wrapper. Google turned up DELL have Version 15.2.30.280 of Intel USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller and Hub Driver. Now it will not install under my user account that is an administartor account. It was originally installed during Win7 install using the built in Admin Account before the OOBE.
